Antique 1918 Gibson A4 Mandolin with case. SN 43769

Description

Family Estate find!  Antique Gibson A4 Mandolin, with hardshell case, Serial number is 43769, Mandolin has one full length split from top to bottom, one split that goes from the top to the sound hole and one split on the opposite side that goes from the bottom about 1/3 of the way up, Has some finish wear on the back and sides, The case is in rough shape but does close and latch on 2 latches, The label is intact! It still plays and has a nice sound, It does smell like someone tried to clean it at some point..Linseed oil? Not sure!  I am far from a mandolin expert and this will be sold as is in antique condition!  Let me know if you have any questions and I will try to answer them! Thanks and good luck!
