Antique Head Socket Wax Over Paper Mache 18" Doll Blue Sleepy Eyes Golden Hair
This is an authentic antique doll with five parts on stuffed muslin torso. She came from an estate with a lot of rare dolls. (Please follow us if you are in to old rare dolls as we continue to list these dolls as quickly as we can.) The doll has a beautifully constructed face with blue sleepy eyes that function nicely. She has single stroke eyebrows and undefined ears. Open mouth with teeth. Shoulder-head on cloth body and a wig glued onto her head. She is unmarked but after research, she appears to be of French or German origin. She is in fair condition. Some of the wax is breaking off in spots. Hair needs some TLC and doll and her clothes could use some cleaning. She has some spots that may not be able to be cleaned. Eyes still open and close as they should, but eyelashes are missing on left eye. Please see pictures to make determination. Still a beautiful doll and amazing that she has lasted all these years!
