Antique Vintage Weymann Mandolin model
(w/ chipboard case)- If you don't know this maker then you should!  Weymann, a German immigrant, began his trade after the Civil War in Pa.  This instrument bears the full imprint of turn of the century Italian workmanship. The exterior level states, "Highest Grade" & has all top quality parts which are all original & in full working condition.
Compared to other instruments sold this very week (01/15/21), it is not only louder but extremely Italian sounding. This item is a must for the serious mandolinist who plays classical music & hopes to create a small collection. We have close to 100 mandolins in our inventory, including an Embergher & yes, it is just as loud.
This instrument has been professionally restored. The intonation is clear & clean right up to the highest point on the very straight fingerboard.
It has new .009 Thomastik strings, engraved tuners & tailpiece have been cleaned & oiled.
It
may have cracks, scratches etc., but we stand behind them all!
There's one obvious flaw.  Can you tell what it is? (The answer is at the bottom of the page*).
Even the people that have played it in our showroom cannot tell.
Maybe it's because they fall in love with the sound first. We have plenty of more photos so please ask to see them if you need to.

*Look at photo # 11. It came to us with a piece cut out & was replaced with wood from a damaged vintage mandolin.
Maybe this is what makes it sound so great?
