    Description

This in-depth view of John Scarne covers his eight additional careers beyond magic.  Scarne was billed as the 'World's Foremost Authority on Games, Gambling and Magic.'  Is was written by Bill Ragsdale, the World's Foremost Authority on John Scarne with the support of Mrs. Steffi Scarne.
Consists of 33 pages of text, a 28 page bibliography, a 14 page annotation of his autobiography, 14 black and white photos and 19 color photos for a 75 page total. Many of the photos have never been published before. This book details Scarne's 27 books, 5 motion pictures, 23 games, and 24+ television appearances.
This book was released exclusively for attendees of the 2013 Los Angeles Conference on Magic, an invitation only event. It has just been released to the public.
John Scarne's careers included entertainer, book author, game designer, magazine authority, US Army consultant, film performer (The Sting and four more), advertiser, casino consultant and television guest.
    Bill answers these questions:
Was Scarne as good as he claimed?
Why was his son named Teeko?
Why did Houdini tell him ‘The farther you get ahead, the more your magician friends will turn against you’?
What was it like to entertain three US Presidents and Fidel Castro?”
