this book is from new-old dealer inventory, and so is in new condition, never previously owned.
If you do kid shows for pay, you have no doubt heard the potential client say something like, "Wow, that's a lot for just 35 minutes work.  I wish I got paid at that hourly rate, etc, etc"   We have all heard some version of this, because non-magicians don't think about the years of study, the hours of practice, the investment in props, etc etc.
But leaving all those things aside, they don't even think about the fact you had 30 minutes of prep and packing at home, 20-30 minutes of set-up at the show home,  and 35-45 minutes of driving time there and back.    For your 35 minute kidshow, you spent  another 90+ minutes that nobody saw.
That fixed "non-show" time means you spent over two hours on that show.    Two hours for your fee of X dollars.
But what if you could spend another 45 minutes with the kiddies and double your fee.
Now, for less than three hours, you get 2X dollars!
John Palfreyman's booklet, MAGIC IN A GAME, is about getting more dollars out of each kidshow, so that you leverage that fixed non-show time.   And the add-on is both fun, and (I think) easier than doing more magic --

have ever performed on a cruise ship, or been on a cruise, you know that the entertainers are frequently pressed into add-on duties like running the Bingo game, leading the Trivia contest, etc.      I like to think of Palfreyman's game playing  kidshow add-on in the same way -- except on the cruise, they usually don't pay you extra for those added tasks  :-)
Palfreyman gives a LOT of examples of simple games -- there are two or three games, stunts, etc on each page of this booklet.  So you have plenty of choice, to find the ones that you think will best fit your audience, your own personality, and to change 'em up for repeat bookings.
