WOW.   I just obtained a gigantic personal collection of Magic DVDs from a magician who has accumulated them over 2+ decades.   And I already had bought a big wholesale close-out of DVDs from my supplier.   So, I am up to my knees in DVDs!   Literally!   I need to find good homes for all the DVD's in this collection, so I will be listing them with little or no description.
But check out the photos of the DVD case blurbs, and do a little research online for price and content, and you can get some great deals on these DVDs.     I have quickly checked that they load and play, but can't take the time to watch them all and give my opinion/review.    (If I am familiar with the content or artist, I will say what I can.)

If you are into mentalism, you need no introduction to the creative work of Docc Hilford.    His emphasis is on putting mentalism routines into an interesting and entertaining performance context, as well as combining bold methods with some (relatively) simple sleights to create very strong mental effects.
On this set of FOUR DVDs, issued by L&L in 2008, Hilford performs and explains 24 routines, and the consistency (in terms of practicality and effectiveness for a lay audience) is impressive.    If you are like me, you will find yourself wrestling with which one of the routines to learn first, since you will want to learn almost all of them immediately.
Although I find Hilford's story-telling presentations to be a bit much at times, there is no doubt that he creates interest for and emotional connection with his audience.  (You can tell from the trick descriptions on the back of the DVD cases, that Hilford is focused on creating a theatrical and memorable contxt for the effect -- the descriptions dont really tell you the effect in most cases.   That said, you will like these effects!)   A good example of how Hilford can elevate a simple effect with his presentation is Nightmare Coin:   this is (in essence) a prediction of one object chosen out of three.  But in the context of Hilford's presentation, this 1-in-3 chance prediction becomes a memorable performance piece, and the simple effect is multiplied in the spectator's mind.
Hard to choose a favorite DVD among these four, but I elevate this DVD (Bride of Monster Mentalism) to that status because more than on the other DVDs in the set, Docc spends time teaching techniques that form the foundation for so many other possible routines, in addition to the excellent routines he explains on the DVD.
He goes in detail as to how to properly (that's the key word, "properly") and effectively present an equivoque choice.   He covers various psychological influence techniques, which (once understood) allow you to perform mental effects anytime, anywhere.   Other important topics are audience management and dual realities.   But unlike many teaching DVDs that cover topics like this, Hilford gets beyond the theoretical and right down to the practical application.

Retail on these DVDs is for each one.   I see the separate DVDs selling in listings for about each.   But I think if you have one, you will want all four, and so get them ALL together, with one reasonable shipping cost.  And of course at a MUCH better price than per DVD when you buy four together.

USA ADDRESSES   First DVD (singles) has postage of .95.     But if you buy more that one, postage drops significantly on combined shipments.  eBay checkout should calculate about .30 for each additional single DVD.    If you buy a number of DVDs I will refund excess, since shipping cost goes down to about 50 cents per additional DVD after you get 5 or more.    Best to put a bunch in your cart, and

NON - USA ADDRESSES -- shipping rate for one DVD is as posted.   A second DVD pushes the package weight into "2nd tier" international postage.    However, that 2nd tier postage can cover up to SEVEN DVD's in the package for the same rate as two.   So if you need me to ship to a non-USA address, and you want more than one DVD, you may want to find seven you like!
