(No Reserve-Bid & the Item Will Sell)
ITEM:   Long title on title page,
    "
Sleights: Being a Number of Incidental Effects, Tricks, Sleights, Moves and Passes for Purposes Ranging from Impromptu to Platform Performances.
The title says it all. A collection of sleights, devised by Hull, for an assortment of different effects. A new way of performing the magnetized cards, a card locator that does not require any sleight of hand, and others that do. Billiard ball moves, thimble sleights, mind reading, handkerchief tricks- something for everyone. As with many of Hull's books, some pages have ads for his other books, self-promotion publicity.
    Excerpt from Sleights:
The performer standing two or three feet from his spectators (or even among them) plainly exhibits each card on both sides and has his hands thoroughly examined, there being no rings on his fingers. The cards are then placed on his right palm and arranged in the form of a star Turning the hand over, the cards cling to the hand as if magnetized.
The performer walks down through the spectators, freely permitting persons to examine the cards and hand while the cards are clinging to the hand, and allows them to pass their hands over the cards to prove that hairs, threads, etc., are not present.
The performer then removes the cards and again exhibits his hands and the cards, showing each card separately on both sides.
